Plus if you look carefully at the stamp at the right, it looks to be stamped onto the rust.

If it was real that would have been a great price.
From the Czech republic, they're getting as dodgy as the Poles for fakery, no offence meant to any of our Polish or Czech members.

I am sure I read somewhere that period ww2 helmets never had the star on ? I may be wrong
