Pick this at the Max show 2 years ago. Just wanted one to add to my international collection. Assume it un-issued but there is a non-Soviet name written on the inner shell.

Wow, beautiful, thanks for posting. Just curious, what exactly is the "non-Soviet" name on the inside?

Quick pick of the name
Well done, you just don't see them like this, thank you for reinforcing the fact that original's do still exist out there................
Hmm, that name looks a lot like "Tula". Since it's written in the Latin alphabet, is it possible that it was labeled by a German as the place it was captured? A lot of fighting happened around there at the end of '41.

Hi Kevin
I do not know. I know little about these. Bought it from Robert Kondor...he had 2 of them in similar condition. He kept the other because it was the larger size.
Saw it...very expensive at a show. Was not looking to buy a Russian helmet but the thing was beautiful & I just had to have it. Really a "once in a lifetime find"
What a lovely example!
Congrats !
