i am considering buying this helmet and wanted your esteemed opinions as to whether or not it is original wartime.

Looks right to me. Chinstrap and liner looks the same as mine, except it's missing the greyex sweatband. Looks like a repaint on the outside, but really thin. What's the price on it?

It looks like a late 1941 year issue, when the helmets produced without sweatband, but surely stamp area pictures will help more.

hi everyone and thanks for your help, well helmet arrived yesterday and i am very pleased with it, great service from Raul and very good communication on his part. The helmet has at some time in its life received a light coat of paint which has obscured the ink stamp unfortunatly, but overall a good addition to the Soviet part of my Ost front collection .

Really, they are much scarce than even a single decal M 35-40 German Heeres helmets

I'm not so enthusiastic about the helmet. It looks like having been repainted.
