I am no expert on these caps however I think what comes across as very weird is the wear inside the cap but the stamp however is mint and sharp. It doesn't look good to me. With this kind of wear (hair grease etc.) one would expect this to reflect in the stamp as well. I have several original German Third Reich visors which all show believable signs of wear. This one is just not convincable to me.

Hi Richie, please explain. What are the tell-tale signs? Because I had the cap in hand and it looked and felt quite convincing to me. Though I need to learn a lot in this subject...

The type and colour of the liner and sweatband are atypical to reproductions made in the early/mid 2000s.
