    Hi all,

I need some help with this visor and helmet: can anybody tell me the rank and department of this visor? Is this helmet Soviet? If so, what time period is it and why is there a Star of David carved on the side?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

I suppose the helmet could be an Israeli capture from one of the arab states, just a thought.

The cap is for the gray uniform (ceremony) . You must have a date under the name of the manufacturer, it seems to me that this type of cap is in service until 1980 after the general use the parade hat .
