    Hi Paul
Thanks for your valuable info. I just fund one picture showed that there was spidermarker on a1943 issued SSH40. Not sure if it's real or not. If it's real, does it mean it's possible to see the same marker on the wwii era helmet?

    Hi Dom
Thanks for your picture. That's a nice example of original wwiii ssh40's stamp.
I think my helmet might be refurbished from wwii shell since there are at least two layers of paints on it. What do you think? thanks.

    Hi Kevin ,

It was established that helmets with this marking were made during the war and refurbished by LMZ factory between 1948 and 1950.

Dom is correct. We have talked about this on the forum in the past.

    Cheers, Ade.

The interesting detail on your example is the size indicated POCT usually indicated by a single P . I did not find any other helmets with this particularity, only in 1948.

Yes, post 45 Ssh40 with the postwar emblem of Lysva. Chinstrap is also clearly a postwar type.

    Hi Dom
Thanks again for your useful info with pics. It sounds like my helmet still has some collectable value even it's established and marked in post war, right?

As for the white paint, Do you think they were added later? I am not sure should I leave them alone. Any advise will be appreciated.
