I am not a buckle nerd, but in some ways a uniform-regulations nerd!

I do not collect, as you all will know, but who has this buckle for the
Freiwillige Arbeitsdienst with a pebbled, field-grey covered surface in
    his collection?

    Buckle Weekend!

The stand for the symbol is okay as it is!

    Hello Wim ,

first question is where you found this picture ?

Is it from a older buckle book ?

I know Ric Ferrari shows such a buckle in an older thread on WAF :

It is from a leaflet from about 1934, Markus. It is also shown in the "big" Angolia on page 321.
I once heard the rumour it was speculated to be fantasy. Those who said this, do not have any idea!

When I am in a good mood I will show an advertisement with the image of this buckle, along with
some other buckles, and the name from the manufacturer.

I cannot speak to the early FAD buckle here, but of course, due find it interesting. Like Rossi I too spent some time this long Memorial day weekend pulling out the buckles and reviewing them, especially since it is about the 30th day of rain and flood warnings everywhere
Here are a few pics organized in general groups...
