Controversial buckles

Article about: Just thought to bump up a great month of very nice buckles.. My question is this.. ?? Are there many questionable WW 2 buckles that defy explanation as to maker or process of manufacturing ?

I like this one better than the Overhoff and I have seen one like this with a much better detailed insignia. To many fakes to invest much in one of these. Thanks for posting.

Here is an Assmann example that has been for sale for quite some time; the seller notes the buckle is 'controversial'.

German War Booty has a Luftwaffe officers with the same construction as this NSFK . I assume you believe it is bad. I was trying to buy a collection a few years ago and it included one of those Shahlhelm swastika buckles. It was the only bad buckle in the collection but I have heard these have sold for over a $1000.

Controversial as per the thread title, rather than "bad".
