German Belt Buckle, Need help

've got a belt buckle and do not know if it is original. No manufacturer provided.
I ask for your opinions.

Looks okay to me, friend...WWI Imperial Buckle, possibly repainted a long time ago...Let's see what others have to say, as these aren't my main area of study...

Is it from the same dealer as the SS buckle? Dont like the catch or the paint

In fact looking at both it seems they were painted and then sanded and buffed up to show wear to the high points on the buckles
