I am new to this and recently acquired this buckle with a box of yard sale stuff. It doesn't have any way to attach though so I am not sure if I got gypped. Can anyone tell me anything about it and maybe a value. Any of the other things as well.

An email I received suggested this buckle to be a Sonnenrad "Wiking" SS item. Can someone tell me why it would be SA vs. SS and Thule vs. Sonnenrad

Yard sales are usually good sources to get stuff cheap when these
kinds of things show up at all - Sometimes only a few bucks.

Other than the buckle and ID disc, I like the others and hopefully
    you didn't pay a fortune.........

Within the last 10 years or so replica buckles had very obvious replica prongs. This may be the reason they are missing on your buckle. The lead solder that attaches the front piece does not show any age patina.
I am afraid the buckle is a replica.

Buckle is a fake, three solder points in a row like that is a big givaway

I can only agree with the comments already posted.

The WW1 Imperial wound badge and the coin are fine. The stick pin is not one I am familiar with though so I don't know about that item.

    Cheers, Ade.

BTW if you look at the fixed threads there are lots of info about SA (Sturm Abtielung) buckles, you can compare the original ones in there to your fake, also look in the Rouges gallery, I am sure there is an example of the fake you have in there also

Have a look on page two of the rouges gallery, there is a Stahl Helm buckle on there, same type of fake with the three solder points in a line. There are original imperial buckles with three solder points in a triangle, they are genuine
