I agree, thats why any item should have "hands on application".
There are much more learned one's here than me,by far. But still don't ditch anything without being eyeballed up close.

A fantasy piece that is commonly found on Ebay as per prev. mentioned.
Fantasy piece because these types of buckles never existed during the TR. A cool look - but a total post war creation.
