Markus, DGzRS is not correct. These buckles are known as Feuerwehr Sanitäter.
You can find them for instance in the Steinhauer & Lück catalogue.

    Best,
    Guido

I knew only the S & L variant till now and two or three of them in different collections. First time for me to see another maker. The one you have shown is also a little bit different as it shows no oak leave wreath. However, an interesting piece. These buckles are Weimar era, I think.

    Guido

There is actually the very slight possibility that when comparing the two buckle roundels side by side, the casual assumption of "same (organisation) however variants" is questionable.

Cross to the viewers left is distinctly "iron cross", although the cross to the viewers right is distinctly "DGzRS". Similar by a casual glance, however on closer scrutiny, totally different.

I wonder if the two buckles represent two totally different organisations?

    To the left - Feuerwehrsanitäter.

To the right - Die Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger.

    Regards,

    David

    Hello,

i see here to different variations .

    Not 1.Mod. and 2.Mod .

I think two different buckles for different Organisations .

First as Guido say's a Feuerwehr Sanitäter like shown in the ST&L catalog and second DGzrRS
