Hoch Die Maurerkunst buckle
Picked this up in Krakow a few days ago for £6 at that price i couldn't pass it up, i know these are still being made but i've got a feeling the modern ones are all nickel plated not just the roundel as on this one.
Not military i know but a nice little gap filler in the collection!...

Cheers Glenn, i think buckles like these have been in use for quite a while but i can't say if they were used in the DDR!...
Indeed, a quick search gives me the impression that they've been producing these for many moons...Definitely a good filler and the price is more than fair, in my opinion...All the best to you, friend!

These would not have been made during the Third Reich, I think. The Nazis did not have a very good opinion of Masonic-type organizations!
