ID a German - Austiran (?) Belt Buckle?

Not sure what time period or exactly who this roundel may have belonged to. Looks quite nicely made though and the leaves surrounding the scene look German/Austrian.

Thanks for looking. Here is the back shown next to a relic Austrian Buckle for perspective. Looks like it is missing the keeper(?).

Is there lead solder or tape residue on the back ?
I still think it's likely a table medal or medallion
of some sort.............

Still puzzled.

Might be a centerpiece/roundel from a conventional pre-TR buckle. Or Walkwolf might be right.

Hi there, it is a "Tätigkeitsabzeichen, Distanzschätzerabzeichen 1906" - Army distance estimator badge (?) . On the back it should look like this (picture from internet):
