Looks like a decent belt, not my pics. Interesting resewing of the catch (aluminum) area, looks period, thread color looks nearly as old as the belt itself so the repair/modification didn't bother me.

Any idea on what or why this has four holes? Looks like it may be been used with a double claw buckle and then returned to a standard EM combat figuration?

Thx in advance for any ideas you can contribute, and a Happy New Year to all my belt and buckle collecting friends on the forum

Are the holes on the front side also? Could have been riveted and has been resewn as it was period, just a thought

You might have something there Ben ;-) No holes on the front but the holes make sense as far as a pair of rivets which would have been used if the original half moon sewing gave way. Here's a shot of the front.

Thx Ben. I liked the belt, looks like good leather and I needed one with an Alu catch.
