My Old Musician's Buckle

Hello All,

Please see pictures of my old two piece musician's buckle. I have had it for a very long time in my collection and was found in Germany. I have been fairly certain it is WWII period but as well have wondered if it could be pre-WWII or WWI. I thought I would throw it up here to get the thoughts of my fellow buckle crazed collectors to see what the consensus is. I assume it is of German origin but not sure about that either. Have not seen too many of these in the marketplace, online or with dealers.

verry interest buckle but IMO the aria is not clear .

This typ of buckle also in use post war and today .

To clear we must go to identify material .

Is it a brass over steel case ? Is that made pre war ?

Here another pre war case from the ealy nazi period made of brass over steel with nickel roundel :

I can't offer any more info on the time period....but I thought I would add the two 'musician' buckles I have in my collection.
The one 'shiny' example must be post-war. The other one with the drums could be older...but it too might well be postwar.
To me it doesn't really matter....they are cool buckles and I collect 'em all!
