Hello David,
can I get a better "shot" at the diamond-marking, please?

Dear Wilhelm,
The best for the moment at least.
Let me know if you need something better and if so, will rattle this low resolution image through "Capture One" when I make it back home tomorrow.
Regards and best wishes,
David
Hey David, in my opinion this is the LZM marking, which stands for Landes Zeugmeisterei
(the Uniform-Bezugsgenossenschaft m.b.H), which was located at Essegg!

Gents, many thanks and very informative information
Ben
Wim is right (as usual), and I have to correct myself:
This is not a Slovakian FS buckle. It's an Amtswalterkoppelschloss [Political Leaders' Belt Buckle] from the Deutsche Volksgruppe im Unabhängigen Staat Kroatien [Ethnic German Group in the Independent State of Croatia].
See post # 841 here: Muetzenfabrik
(Esseg is the German name for Osijek in Croatia, by the way.)
Finally got three new better photos of the buckle, the back assembly looks different from the one shown earlier, I've no idea if its good or not, hard to see any maker's stamp. Do we take it that the earlier one shown is a original one?
