My favourite is a relic ( what did you expect from me? ) The more you look at it, the more you see......

    - the effort made to sand smooth the pebbled surface
    - the attachment of the guards badge using a German!! pfennig ( mustn't waste a ruble and it couldn't have been done by a German - this sort of defacing of the national symbol would have been a criminal offense )
    - and the irony of a captured buckle, converted by a Russian soldier, who was to be in turn killed and the buckle dug up 70 years later!

    Cheers, Dan
Very interesting, and a Linden & Funke buckle

So many favorites but probably my Deutsche Reichsbahn (German State Railway) Buckle - 1933-1935. I love the fact it is one of my buckles without the Swastika. It showcases a different eagle and its own look. The bright guilded finish also is attractive. It is a harder to find one as well.

Also...Since It was recovered from the Missing Nazi Train Full of Treasures in Poland it has to be worth a fortune....right? Sorry...Could not resist that one.
