I see you are using hunting rounds instead of the military surplus FMJ . Good choice for these oldie but goodies. That's what I use when shooting my 88. They are a little more milder than the FMJ brothers.. Loving the EK and the history behind it. A true family treasure!!! I like putting on helmets when I go shooting. Commission 88 calls for the Haube. The Kar98a calls for the 1917 Stahlhelm. Yeah I get some looks but it sure does bring the crowds closer and interested in the history I have in my hands.

Have a great time at the range and of course a range report would be nice to see how that old girl is shooting. My rifle range time is either metallic targets at 150M(2x3 plate),200M(turkey),300M(Boar) and 500M(Ram) or tannerrite . Zombie targets for the kids with the scoped out 10/22 !!!!

Great stuff Phil So, maybe I'll wear this old helmet I picked of Ebay years back for like $90...no liner so will need a baseball cap as well

Posted before way back when, but thought a good fit for the Imperial 1916 thread. A big, heavy piece with a great blade. Another Ebay pick in the early days before lots of questionable items etc. Hope you like it
