Hi Rolf,
Fantastic finds and the restoration is great, did you find them in the same spot or just in the same area, very lucky find.
Dave.
The last single 28 found is really nice. It even has the British modification of adding the Lee Enfield sling swivel to the front grip.
kompani-linge,
Your ground dug Thompsons are a subject of discussion on my Thompson forum, Machinegunboards.com. Speculation was made that these were left by the British in April to May, 1940. I believe they are Savage manufactured Thompsons, and if they were left by the British in April to May 1940, they were among the very first Savage Thompsons manufactured. My guess is that they would have serial numbers in the 15,041 to 19,000 range. Are any of the serial numbers readable? If so, would you be willing to share the numbers? It would really help with our historical discussion and speculation of when these weapons came to Norway.
