I have been offered this gun and feel happy with the authenticity, but wonder if the condition makes it a good purchase.

I'd say it was in very good condition - even with the missing lanyard ring.
Some of these have seen hard use and can be found with most of the
black coating worn off. What is the asking price.........?

I think it's very good price, at Gunbroker such flare guns cost more.
Feel the difference - such flare gun in my country easily will sell for 400$

Indeed, a good price for this flare pistol. Most I've seen
are in the $250+ range.........
