That is a real beauty, Anton.........!
Regards,
Steve.
Thank you.
It is the nicest rifle in my collection.
Wish I had such a nice M1 like that Anton, don't forget to put some US G.I. grease on that oprod grove. What maker is your 1944 M1?
The one I have was made in November of 43 from the numbers.
Eric
The last known WW2# for springfield arm made is 3,888,XXX from what I understand.

To answer the question about my rifle: It is a Springfield.
Also, I will not need much grease because I will likely never shoot it.
Very nice rifle Eric.
By the way, for any US residents, you can get a Correct Grade Garand from the CMP for $1,100.00. These are 50's rifles. I got an H&R from them and it was in perfect condition with correct parts. It looks to me like it was fired very little and stored away.
If only I could get that kinda money at my age. Your M1's make mine look jealous
Here is a pic of the Brittish export marks which are located on the barrel.
BTW, the holidays are coming up, maybe you can get one as a gift if you are lucky.
Eric Zentner, want to trade your M1 Garand for my Luger? ^^; I want a M1 Garand so bad..
