    The one I have was made in November of 43 from the numbers.

    The last known WW2# for springfield arm made is 3,888,XXX from what I understand.

    To answer the question about my rifle: It is a Springfield.
    Also, I will not need much grease because I will likely never shoot it.

    Very nice rifle Eric.

    By the way, for any US residents, you can get a Correct Grade Garand from the CMP for $1,100.00. These are 50's rifles. I got an H&R from them and it was in perfect condition with correct parts. It looks to me like it was fired very little and stored away.

    Here is a pic of the Brittish export marks which are located on the barrel.

    BTW, the holidays are coming up, maybe you can get one as a gift if you are lucky.
