Left a US Colt 1911 45acp and Right a German 9mm Browning HP
I'd say the top one is a Colt M1911 and the bottom one is a Browning 9mm of some description.
hassiman beat me to it!...
I concur with both ID's. Good eyes, gentlemen.
Added an example of a 1911 for comparison.
After a closer inspection I don't think it's a 1911 Colt.

thanks all I am in process of purchasing the browning. It's only £45 so quite cheap
Correct, the first one looks like a colt but could be a Star B too, a spanish pistol. The third reich bougth this model to spain and is identical to colt 1911
Cheers
Wasn't there a ballesta molina type 1911 without a grip safety, too.
Star I believe, but not the one pictured, which is a different shape.
The Ballesta molina was Argentinian, and purchased by SOE in limited quantaties.
The Browning Hi-Power is suspect to me, it is without doubt, GP35 on the main frame but the top slide is most defo not a GP35.
