zwerge-thanks for the comments (Ingrid P as well!) - I don't usually shoot my collectables but had the opportunity to shoot with a P14 last year-a very accurate weapon indeed-will be doing a bit more this year with my longarms and pistols ( Makarov and Tokarev TT33) through the militaria collector club to which I belong.
nice rifles, i like your 1917 its in great condition, my lithgow of that year is well used with a lot of scratches and the front furniture has been replaced with ww2 vintage coachwood.
Its great to see lee enfields on here particularly the lithgows
Lovely weapons in such a great condition. Always happy to see an nice LE
Hi Lithgow,
Thanks for putting them on here i love enfield rifles the design alone does it, i dont blame you not wanting to shoot your collectables ones. I would like a lithgow for my collection but dont seem to see many over here, loads of B.S.A,s though. i have four enfields now but a lithgow would be nice.
dave.
hi Panzer ...apparently Lithgow supplied 30,000 smles to UK forces in ww1. Also peak ww2 production was 4000 per week so I guess a bunch of those headed your way as well :-)
My 43 Lithgow below. Everything matches except the 46 stock. Probably post war refurbish as the stock has R MA 9/46 stamped on it. It also has DP stamped on the other side but not sure what that means.
