    CMP rifle. I cant recall if it is "rack" or "service" grade but it's all correct the best that I can tell. The stock is probably a period replacement since there are no inspectors marks etc. . I saw that some of you are waiting for CMP guns so I thought I'd post this to give you an idea of what you might get. I suspect that this one is more correct than is typical but I can't say for sure because it my only CMP Garand.

    Nice pull from the CMP. Have you dug into the guts to see if it is all SA parts?
    Hardly ever see them with a barrel from WW2 era to match the receiver.
    Most were rebarreled during the Korean War.
    Good job.

    Thanks guys. Yes, I have pulled it apart. Like I said, it's all correct except for the stock the best that I can tell..according to my books. I was certainly surprised.
