AK 47 and 74 Magazines

Hello guys,

Got some AK mags today. Both for the 47 and 74. The red Bakelite ones are for the AK 74. They are hard to find for the AK 47 at the moment. There is a very nice magazine from the 1950's for the 47 I am sure these will last a life time. Very solid made.

Who knows They also work on civilian models of course. Many use them for hunting. That's why the Bakelite mags in 7.62X39 is hard to find at times. I also got a mag chest rig from the Afghan war Have pics.

AK, AKM, AKS, AKMS, AK74 etc, but now you are just being technical. AK47 - US assigned weapons and date designation stuck just like facial tissue is referred to as Kleenex (or use your own example).

As AK mags, both 47 and 74 of various state manufacture are plentiful here in the states, I think we assume that they would be even more abundant in Russia and the former Soviet Republics. Perhaps we assume incorrectly.

Good looking mags, as said before, now you need the AK to be their buddy And looks like you got a fair share of that Russian grease they put plentiful of into surplus materials, I have seen many russian mess kits where the inside were covered in that grease and could not come off.

I had a few of these mess kits. It's not too hard to remove the grease. I think it's called "Cosmoline".
