    Hi.
Here is a few pictures of a FN 1922 with german waffennamt WaA140.
I bought this gun from a gundealer on the swedish island of Gotland.
According to the story it came to Gotland with fleeing soldiers in german uniforms from the baltic states late in the war.
A swedish policeman took care of the gun and kept it for many years.
In comparison with my other FN 1922:s this one is of poor quality, tolerances are big and the gun rattles like a musical instrument.
Also poor grips that I think is "homemade".
It still shoots ok and I wish it could tell me its history.
If someone seen grips like these before, please tell me.

    Best regards

    HiCobra.
Yes, the grips seems to be of bakelite-type.
the "serrations", looks random, therefore I assume the grips are handmade.
I will try to remove the grips and look behind to see if I find something interesting.
Sorry for my bad english, it is not my first language.

Update: The inside of the grips offer no markings, but the surface is much more shiny and untouched. This leads me to think that the grips have been sandpapered to suitable height/fitting by hand.
Or maybe this is some kind of lastditch-grips.
    Any input is greatly appreciated.

I think you used an online translationservice for your last post asking where I got the gun.
I tried to explain that in my first post and I dont have much more info to give.
I did not look for waffenamt-markings on the barrel and magazine earlier, but they are there alright.
Overall I like this gun, it probably has been places.

I knew it wouldnt work ha ha ah but I like to get the responsis...your english is probly better thn mine !!!

but when it comes to a bakelite grip, they do look a litle bit stock but thats my personal opinion, there are good chances that it was a wartime owner modification ....and I honestly feel that you have a great (shaky) pistole!

I cant touch it so as I said my personal opinion on picture

    luck for you Laplander

    Cobra.
No, the inside of the grips are smooth and untouched.
The brass "rivets" and brass screw looks homemade, but the steel screw looks more like factory made.
Also thank you Cobra for your interest.
Pop over to Sweden and I will let you see this gun more closely.
