Article about: Hi all,i have the opportunity to buy this fantastic machinegun,who is the manufacturer? the numeric year markings are rarer than letter markings? sorry for bad english! waiting for answers :

Super clean gun - looks like it's been in cosmolene for 60 years.
atb - Hydrometer AG, Breslau, Czechoslovakia - but they are not listed as one of the five producers of the '42.
So I am probably wrong - but it's a start. -
Musgrave-Oliver list the following producers - small parts had multiple manufacturers.
1. Grossman, Dobeln.
2.Gustloff-Werke
3. Maget, Berlin.
4. Mauser Werke.
5. Steyr-Daimler-Puch.
Just me looking in a book - sure there are better answers here.

mmm,i looked on the internet,it has been manufactured by gustloff werke (dfb),but im not completely sure!

I think the first letter is d rather than a. Looks like a nice piece!

A "d" would make more sense.

Hello, It is a 'd' as in dfb for Gustloff Werke and a pretty early one too. Here's two more. I don't want to sound picky but I don't think the buttstock's original. Very nice!Attachment 417119Jonathan

yes,we are 2,buttstock seems replaced with yugo one,the german one have a little difference on the high edge!
anyway!,severin i cannot see the picturee
so it seems to be a good item..i will buy it!,when is there i will post good pictures ehehe
