i was given some items by my father in-law. among them was this interesting rifle . i was wondering if anyone knew what it is and possible a value?

Bearing in mind its German i would suggest its a hunting rifle, for Stag or Wild boar

I believe it’s a German ‘parlor rifle’ or ‘zimmer shutzen’. Usually a small caliber single shot rifle that was used for informal indoor shooting matches.

The name on the rifle isn’t necessarily the makers name. In those days big gun shops would sometimes buy nameless rifles from the manufacturer and have their own (sellers) name put on the rifles.
