Ah the old Bren spare barrel question.IF the barrel was bored out and IF the chamber was destroyed, then in law , it ceases to be a barrel.One dealer, who I will not name, did get one of the proof houses to officially SCRAP some barrels after they were extensively slotted and they were satisfied, that they were no longer serviceable.These can be legally owned.The Authorities have resisted dealers deactivating barrels, by threatening the removal of their section 5 status, in other words don't rock the boat on the subject, I can assure you that I have this info on good authority.I find it very frustrating.

I love BA rifles, at least you can still cycle the bolt occsionally when it takes your fancy.

yea shame you cant cycle rounds though and of course any gun on a bipod is still moving parts and stripable.

True, Ive had a DP 28 for over a year now and not found the time to figure out how to strip it, if im snowed in tomorrow I might have a crack...
