Erfurt only made Lugers in WW1... It is not correct with a 1936 date... The 36 date,, top half is from a Mauser manufactured luger The Luger is still nice...and the Radom is great.... BILL

Thanks Bill I always wondered about that. However even though you say it's not correct, It was done by the Germans because I got it from the family of a vet. They don't remember where in Europe he got it, all they remember is him saying that he took it from a Nazi Police officer.

How do you tell if it's police marked? As I said before though, the vet said he took it from a Nazi police officer, so I'm sure it's police...

I just looked and I don't see anything like that, so even though it was used by the police it must not be an official police Luger.
