I agree, it is a madness lol That's a really nice rifle, I've been trying to talk my brother out of his Long Branch for a few years now, I think I'm getting to him, he doesn't tell me no right away any more lol
I presume a Lee Enfield rifle has Lee Enfield written on it?
Ben
No, it just has the model, No4 Mk1 stamped on the reciever like yours. Here's a link with some info on the rifle The Lee Enfield Rifle Resource
Some of the early models, No1s were marked S M L E, but nothing that actually said Lee-Enfield.
Hi Ben,
i have seen a Lee Enfield with the mark of a 'D' and on the downwood stroke of the D it has a small line coming out of the centre to make an E, if you can follow what i mean.
Dave.
Many thanks guys, I might even try and find a Lee Enfield No 4 to go with it lol
Ben
Nice rifle Ben. It's too bad you guys aren't allowed to have ones that are operational, because they are a lot of fun to shoot and have such rich history. My girlfriend bought me one a few years ago and I love it.
we do actually, we just don't want to To match hassle: a safe; a license. Then you need to find a place to shoot, you can't just drive into desert and shoot. A nd there is no desert in the UK . Lol

Hi,
I agree with ph3s, we can have enfield rifle for target shooting on a part 1 FAC, but it is a lot of hassle, i have friends who shoot them down here in cornwall. I gave my licence up years ago.
Dave.
