39 dated is till pretty good and early.
There is a real noticable difference between my 43 dated gun and earlier examples: the milling to the receiver on mine is much rougher.

A good mate of mine uses similar parts to make replica Airborne Trailers. He is a welder by trade.

All the wheels and axles are gone as are lunettes but all rest is there i had 14 kept a complete chassis and a complete 62 m416 for my self.
