Cheers for the comments guys, I think that once I've got the SLR I'll go back to the Russian weapons which is my main area of interest as I've veered off that course as you can see

    Thanks

Hi Danny, Your Bren is a Enfield made Bren (as you probably know)thats seen service with the Australians at some point. It has a Lithgow Mk1 hybrid barrel (A Mk2 barrel made specifically for the Mk1s) Australian pattern Mk3 bipod, and Australian wood. It will probably have FTR markings on the bit by the barrel locking lever. These Lithgow FTR guns are probably the best condition guns to be found.

Thanks for that extra information on it I knew about the Enfield bit but the rest is all new to me. And it does infact have the FTR marking beside the locking lever like you said

    Thanks

    Danny
