    Default Enfield Revolver? or What?

Found this in the rafters of an old coal house built in the 40's. I say it's a battle revolver for the rear sight. It scales close to 9mm, more like 8.57.

    Any ideas?

It is an Iver Johnson, and believe it is a .38 due to the longer
cylinder. It is likely commercial and not military.........
