Fake 'Pepperbox' Pistol.........! ?

Hi All. Saw this in the Classifieds and thought to open a discussion
on it. The seller 'Mohammed' says he found it under a building.

There was an almost identical pistol on not long ago that was
deemed a fake - For one, the British Army never made
or issued pistols of this type.........

It's a 'Khyber Pass' fake, made from old bits of scrap, there's thousands out there.

Edit. Note how the hammer cannot possibly strike the percussion cap when it is seated on the chamber nipple, it's too short, plus crap engraving, crudely carved maker mark which appears to want to be 'Enfield', but is spelt here 'Enl.....'

As Ned said, straight fake there is no way that the percussion cap can be touched by the hammer

Lol - the guy is asking $300,000.00 for it with $1,800 postage, so I guess
I shouldn't be too quick getting my wallet out !

He has already been told that this pistol is a dud in a previous thread
but has continued on to the Classifieds with it.........!

i lived in the middle east for years. and for anyone who has, this type of "workmanship" and materials should be very familiar.

you can recognize this stuff from across a dimly lit room.
