Our women did their bit also, ive met many of them in my home village, they built bombers, they did their duty, i love and respect them., but a teenager sniper, wow !

When you think of a war, you think of men fighting men. You definitly don't think about women.... At least some are still remembered such as these who are in photographs

Yes, it’s difficult to imagine the Allies sending their women folk off to war in such a manner! Obviously there were many involved in SOE, and many paid the ultimate price, some quite horrifically in some cases.
The Soviets simply did what they had to do to survive, defend the motherland and ultimate victory

За Коммунизм is a wrong word, soldiers never used it, after the 1943 year when the major part of peoples did not want spent the lifes for Stalin, they leave just the word- For Motherland

After being wounded by a motar round Pavlichenko was sent to Canada and the USA in 1942 and during a speech in Chicago she made this statement,
“Gentlemen, I am 25 years old and I have killed 309 fascist occupants by now. Don’t you think, gentlemen, that you have been hiding behind my back for too long?!”

You have to like her style.

Not a sniper, but one of the nurses, found this year in the Narva area, reburried with remains of other 220 soldiers
Russian News: In Estonia reburied the remains of more than a hundred Soviet soldiers who died fighting against the Nazis
One of the found soldiers was a Lyubov' Andreyuk, from Siberia, Krasnoyarsk
In the period of the war a hundreds of females served as a mashinegunners in a Mashinegun-artillery units


She was 21 y o, born in 1923 year



Medal for combat service recieved in 1943 year.
...Despite of the heavy artillery fire, she carried 17 wounded soldiers with their weapons from the frontline, near Sinyavino village, Wolchow front
