Here's another pistol from my collection. An early manufacture FN Model 1910. The serial number puts its manufacture just before the German occupation of 1914, or immediately post war - circa 1919. Note the early style barrel-bushing. This is the type of pistol used in the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife on 28th June 1914 - an act which ultimately lead to the outbreak WW1.

Good example of the pistol-Is yours in 7.65mm or 9mm Short? The Sarajevo pistol was a 9mm version, currently in an Austrian museum and in pretty rough shape!
One of the pistols I picked up recently is a 1960s made example that's brand new in the box-an amazingly long lived and popular design.

This one is a 7.65mm example, although the only change needed to accommodate the 9mm short was to change the barrel. Everything else was exactly the same.

    Cheers,
    Steve.
