That stock is incorrect, in my opinion.
It looks like a Vz24 stock?
It is a K98k early war production-flat butt plate, not cupped and no front sight protector-top of the receiver ring will show the makers code and year of production if you can still see it.
PS maybe a pre war Model 1933 Standard modell Karbine-or a Gewehr 98 rifle upgraded to K98k standard-these are both very similar but have the grooves in the forestock that K98k rifles do not usually have-11 million K98ks made over 10 years-lots of small differences.
Appears to be World War 1 due to grooves in forend stock. Mag. plate and trigger guard in rough shape. Check top of receiver for manufacture date. Bolt may not match serial no. of rifle. Is it shootable?
Hi
No its not shootable anymore.
The guy asks 80€ for it
dont know what to do.
Looking for a complete kar98 ww2
This is a complete "put together" rifle, you want be happy if you are looking for a original 98K.
Even when its cheap this is not what u are looking for ...
I think 80 euros is a good price for a reasonable relic k98 although the ejector is missing. Just the stock could cost that in the uk. It really depends on what you want or where your collection is going. Are you into relics? If so then this is a good buy. If you collect better items save your cents and get a matching numbers deactivated rifle. But you will be paying perhaps three times or more as much.
Mark.
Looks like a decent Schmidt-Rubin in the pic too ...
looking for nice demil k98
