I thought in Queensland you could still own a replica with out a license, at the Gold Coast museum I saw you could buy M1 Garand's and M16A1's etc..

The laws changed mid 2015. The Gold coast war museum has been in trouble multiple times about some items they have sold. Most recently was an incident with some prohibited knives. In QLD although you do not need a firearms licence you still must apply for documentation for every replica firearm.... i know its pushing it
