    OK I said definite a M37.... I must however revise that.... :-) It is a M29 instead - and that explains the protusion in the back of the slide.... Sorry...

    Hi. I've just aquired one of this pistols too. (The M37 varient)

    I got it directly from the digger, who excavated a trench to the rear of Sword Beach, Normandy, during the mid 80's.

    Interesting, no provision for a lever safety (?) that would make it a Hungarian army version and not a german army version.
    Can't really tell though from the condition!
