Identify this rifle?

This is in pretty good shape, great wood and blue. On the left side of the reciever it reads "S no4 mk1". On top it reads
"U.S. Property". on the front site it says "Parker Hale England".
I was wondering what it would be worth, where it was made and used and how collectible it is. Also, how does the bolt come out?

It looks to be of standard british "Smelly" design. Maybe one that has been converted to a sporter at some point.
(Smelly: SMLE - Short Magazine Lee Enfield. Google that and you will find plenty of material on the very popular rifle).

Field stripping the SMLE: In order to remove the bolt, it is first neccesary to to rock forward the safety catch just above the rear end of the triggerguard on the left side of the rifle. Then turn the bolt handle up and turn it back as far as it will go. Catch your right forefinger under the head of the bolt. Pull the bolt head up until it is released from its spring catch. Then withdraw it straight to the rear.

There are different models of this rifle and for the No.4 Mark1* field stripping is slightly different. Field stripping for Rifle no.4 Mark 1*: On the bolt head track - right side of the receiver - there is a cut-out; draw bolt back until bolt head is over this cut-out; then lift bolt head straight up and draw bolt out of rifle.

Inserting bolt: Be sure that the head is screwed fully home, and that the cocking piece lines up with the lug on the underside of the bolt. Insert the bolt in the boltway and thrust it forward, and then pull it back as far as it will go until the head touches the resistance shouldrs and force the bolt head down over the retaining catch. Turn down bolt handle and pull trigger.

This looks very similar to the Parker Hale police sniper weapon that was used many yrs ago.However, Scout is correct in all he says except to remove the bolt you must first push down the spring catch in order to let the bolt guides slide over,then you can lift the bolt head in line with the receiver guides,the bolt will just slide out,to replace,is a complete reverse.once in position,slide the bolt two to three times along its grooves to make sure its postioned properly,close the bolt fully point upwards pull the trigger, apply safety catch

Correct if its a No.4 Mk1, but this looks like a No.4 Mk1* which means you lift the bolt head off the guide about 1/2" from the closed position as mentioned earlier.
