Hi Bill,here is some more pics of the T38.The stock was replaced by the Thai army and is a one piece buttstock.The man I got the rifle from shortened the barrel to 22 inches and put a different front sight on it,so no real collector value.

Still a nice piece. Even with the over stamp. A larger majority that I have seen just have the Mum ground off. Have you shot it?

Great! I shoot all my surplus stuff too. I reload but mostly pistol. I send away for surplus ammo even though a lot of it is corrosive. Just got to clean sooner before the barrel and parts rust. I gotta get my hands on a Arisaka one of these days.
