A couple of very nice rifles, I haven't had the opportunity to fire one of these.
Look forward to doing it one day.

    Brad.

Paul, I am looking forward to taking her out for a few rounds

MarkV, your rifle is a beauty, sir, thank you for sharing her!

The recoil is known for being harsh and the flash suppressor is not effective at all, it all adds to the charm of the rifle.

Be prepared for a blast if you get to fire that thing (literally!).

I like the No.5 carbines - yours is quite a nice one, too.
    How is the muzzle blast?

Seems the Australians used them, too -

Tough to find pics of Brits using them.
Here yer go...some Brits with 'em, REME LAD, Malaya, 1956 if I mind on. Squatting down in the front on the right is my dad.

That is a great pic of your dad's team, Mike,

    Thanks for sharing that.

I shot my first Sterling SMG at the REME barracks in Aborfield, I believe, it was a long time ago.

They had a pretty interesting little museum there, too - but the old memory is cloudy, lol.

Great pic - I have a No.4 a FAL and a Sterling in my collection (for sentimental reasons), which is supposed to be only German pre-1945 - I am afraid I will now be looking for a No.5 - thanks OP, lol.
    .303 is about $1.00 a round here
