    True, I did not know this information. For what I read is a company that has imported a lot of material in USA mainly Russian and Yugoslav origin. And many people complain about the carelessness in the markings. This rifle was lucky because he sees quite well.

    The laws in the US have changed over time-early import marks are much smaller than later markings-there should be a marking on the rifle saying 'ENGLAND' to show that was where the rifle was made.
