    In the late 70's early 80,s when in the Army cadets we used these as drill weapons. Like the example shown a chunk of the woodwork was removed showing where the barrel had been cut through during the de-activation process. They looked very much like the 2nd example shown by M3bobby only did not have drill rifle stamped on the metalwork.
