Thanks, Sam! If I can upgrade the scabbard for cheap I will. Otherwise, I'm content.
Scabbard rivets still look odd to me Joe, they look small and a bit too high, a trait often seen on reproductions.
Possibly just the pictures or the paint, but you should compare it to a know good example.

Cool, 1918 marked example.

I don't know what to say, John. It seems good to me and I really have no reason to believe the scabbard is a fake. In hand the age to it seems genuine.
Joe, the bayonet alone is easily worth what you paid plus more, especially being dated 1918.
Sorry, but I'm still not feeling the scabbard.
