Probably Gunny, could be one of the arsenal ones, but none of the numbers are crossed out, I am sure Ade or the lads that collect Russian weapons will let us know

These are good solid little carbines.

The condition appears unissued. Refurbs usually are match number "force fits", with electro penciled marks or new numbers re die struck.

This must be an unissued one Ade I think, not electro stencils on it

Very nice looking M44!! My guess would be that it is a refurb - the fonts of the Sn stampings on the bolt and magazine floor plate are different than the receiver (note the 5 and the 2 are shaped differently). In any case, it is a beauty!!

Nice Carbine you have i think unissued to, i have one 42 issue also unissed never had a shot thought it,
I was told they were taken out of the crates and deactivated so good rifles.
