Massive collection of guns, WWII and modern.
Thought I would share this collection of firearm photos I came across many years ago surfing the web. It is a mix of modern, WWII and little WWI for good measure. I hope it is ok to post it just as a link to my photobucket album as there are 142 photos. If needed or wanted I could upload them all here at some point, but I have had this album for years and they aren't going anywhere any time soon.
From what I understand, they are photos of the US ATF catalog of firearms. I assume many or most are from confiscation and some donated. Some VERY nice as well as rare original examples of WWII subguns and rifles. What I wouldn't give to have this collection and the shame is that few will likely ever see the light of day again, but they are at least not just melted down unceremoniously as so many more are.
Of the forums I frequent, I am sure that these will be appreciated most here.

My apologies, have this fixed shortly.

I have been in the ATF Gun Room and they look much better in person...

OH my God. They're so beautiful. And there are only a few that are new to me. It's like porn for gun nuts let alone WWII firearms collectors. How do you get such a privilege? Are these all firearms the ATF has confiscated? How do I get a job there?

Just kidding - thanks for posting, FALguy.

So true Scout but a history lesson on MGs would be incomplete without it.

MP28 - "...recovered from the trunk of an old car destined for the crusher..."
Fascinating - it would be interesting to know more about the seizures and recovery stories on these - out of morbid curiosity.
The camouflaged Solothurn 20mm is interesting.
